Well, starting with my first post I would like to introduce you with one of the most basic way of PASSWORD(Facebook,Gmail or whatever) cracking.Oh I used the word ‘cracking’ here instead of ‘hacking’ .Well let me tell you one thing.Cracking is basically used when we by accident get someone’s password without much
effort and without any technical skill required.Well here it goes…
The use of ‘KEYLOGGERS’ is one of the best way to get someone’s password intentionally. As the word itself suggests its work…Yeah! it logs all your keystrokes (that too in a hidden mode!). So every activity of the user gets recorded secretly like Login details and sites he/she was browsing, etc. , and you can of course view them later.
Getting Passwords with Keyloggers:
1.Firstly, install a virus free Keylogger in your computer.(Get it by Googling!)
2.Then ask (make him/her agree anyhow!) the person (whose password you want) to Login with your computer.
3.Its done! Now just open the logs of that Keylogger .There you will find the Username and Password of that person.
There are also some Keyloggers available for free on net which not only records all the keystrokes but also takes the screensnap of your computer periodically.
Now the point comes on ‘How to safe ourself from being hacked this way?’.For this you just need to apply your common sense:Just press ctrl+alt+del and ‘End Task’ to any suspicious software you see running.
Though this method seems to be quite uneasy as you need to convince the person to login in you computer…yet its one of the simplest ways of Hacking someone’s Password.
Protection:
They best way for protection from such spywares is to Install Anti-Spyware Software.
Spyware – and other things known as adware and malware – is becoming as big a problem as viruses. Spyware programs can cause a lot of problems with your computer, not to mention they can track your personal information and you never know where it’s being sent.
Some new computers might includes antispyware (in a rare case some even come embedded with anti-spyware) software, but most of them don’t yet. There are quite a few anti-spyware programs available, some free.What I recommend is from Microsoft and is one of the free ones.
One of the reasons I like it is because it always runs in the background and will automatically catch a lot of spyware before it gets on your computer. Many of the other programs don’t catch it until you run a scan. Not only does this allow things to get on your computer, it also means you have to actually remember to run a scan.
